Hannah Cross, of Point Four Photography, is a wife and homeschooling mama to four girls, ages 8 to 8 month, living in Northern Colorado. Documenting her everyday life is the only way she knows how to “embrace the mess” and stay sane in motherhood.  When her camera batteries are charging, you can find her watching Netflix documentaries with her husband or on the balance beam pretending she is still a gymnast.

Video opens up an entirely new medium with which to tell your stories. Instead of one single frame like you have with a still image, video allows you to put together multiple frames while also utilizing movement and sound to engage more of the senses. With the addition of music and your editing control, you now have multiple powerful tools to create the feeling you want to invoke and the story you want to tell. In this class, I’m going to bring you through the technical basics of shooting video and then on to getting started filming the stories in your own life.

Requirements:

• DSLR camera that shoots video
• Video Editing Software

Ellen Covey, of Ellen Elizabeth Photography, is a self taught photographer living in San Diego, California with her husband and two daughters. Ellen’s work is mostly photographs of her family and the beautiful daily life moments that come along with motherhood. Ellen is also the founder of the Facebook group, “Self Portraits of Motherhood,” a community of mothers inspiring each other to be a part of their captured memories.

After you have learned to capture motion clips, it’s time to create a video both you and your family love. While editing video is a little different than a photo, don’t let the process overwhelm you. In this course you will learn Ellen’s complete video process, where she also shares her insight on how to storytell with purpose through video.

Requirements:
